Windows Mobile ecosystem discussed by Microsoft, hard issues not mentioned July 23, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. Many Windows Mobile software developers are leaving Windows Mobile for iPhone because in one month with iPhone software they can earn more money than in several years with Windows Mobile software but once again a Microsoft employee with safe corporate job at Microsoft, totally disconnected from reality, is preaching about Windows Mobile ecosystem, but is not mentioning hard issues at all: ISVs are free to build anything they can dream up using the platform SDKs to run on those devices. The success of any platform depends on everyone working together from a pool of opportunity and the expertise they bring to it. Mobility is a big, big pool right now.
