HTC Touch Diamond coming to USA to Sprint soon August 04, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Sprint has cheap mobile broadband offering so it is popular in USA, but Sprint customers still have some issues, like inability to receive SMS messages from special short numbers (like the one of Twit) so we are not sure we can recommend this carrier unconditionally... but Sprint is supporting Windows Mobile strongly: previously offering several Windows Mobile phones, recently launched Treo 800w and now launching yet another Windows Mobile phone... HTC Touch Diamond is available at practically all operators in Europe, some in Australia and many in Asia, but in USA it is not officially on sale yet. It will be probably CDMA version, not GSM/HSDPA version, that will be the first official HTC Touch Diamond in USA, because HTC Touch Diamond is coming to Sprint: HTC, based in Taoyuan, Taiwan, reported Thursday that second-quarter profit rose 48 percent and revenue increased 29 percent. The company released its Diamond phone in Asia in June and will begin selling the handset through Sprint Nextel Corp. in August.
