G-Invaders for Windows Mobile released - another game that uses tilt-sensor August 05, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. It looks like tilt sensor, that is built-in into HTC Touch Diamond and compatible has bigger potential in gaming than in utility applications. Here comes yet another game that uses tilt sensor, at this moment in very early version (but free):
Here is a video that demonstrates this game in action: To learn more or to download this game for FREE visit related thread about G-Invaders for Windows Mobile (free registration required to download). Commentary: clearly there is a lot of potential in tilt sensor in Windows Mobile phones and at this moment HTC Touch Diamond and Samsung Omnia are equipped with this sensor already and more phones coming yet. Note that we have asked Microsoft in interviews whether Microsoft plans to put tilt sensor API as part of Windows Mobile and then answer was that Microsoft leaves it to hardware manufacturers, but now it becomes apparent that such API in Windows Mobile is absolutely needed.
