HTC makes access to ROM upgrades and documentation easier August 07, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Previously: registration with user name, password and further details were necessary to access ROM upgrades, but now all you need is serial number of your phone (usually to be found under the battery). You should be careful though when upgrading your phone: This is a generic software update. Any additional software or settings provided by your mobile operator or company will be lost. If you require this customization, please contact your supplier first before upgrading. Please note that this upgrade will erase any data stored on the device.
