Yet another tilt sensor game released: Sensory Overload (Asteroids clone) August 10, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. This game is absolutely amazing: by tilting the phone you are moving the ship, but by using the wheel under the display (so called "nav sensor") you are shooting the asteroids! It is also using hardware graphic acceleration available in HTC Touch Diamond to render sprites nicely. This game shows the way for developers of Windows Mobile games - that they should add support for tilt sensor and take advantage of hardware acceleration of graphic rendering...
The author writes: A few days ago I published the Managed OpenGL ES wrapper. As a proof of concept, I went so far as to create a simple game for the HTC Touch Diamond that utilizes the G-Sensor, Nav Sensor, and the 3D hardware capabilities of the device. The end result is a simple "Asteroids" type game I call Sensory Overload. The game is simple:
