HTC announces S740 smartphone

Between August 29 and September 3 a consumer electronics show "IFA" takes place in Berlin and this may be the reason, why HTC is revealing this smartphone this week.
It is the first Windows Mobile smartphone without touch-screen made by HTC for a long time. It goes on sale next month (September 2008) in Europe. While rest of the world thinks that the best QWERTY keyboard is the one usable with hand and front-facing, it looks like HTC believes that users want slide-out keyboards:
The camera in this phone lacks auto-focus, there is no 3.5 mm stereo miniplug, and the display is tiny (2.4 inch, QVGA, it would be impossible to squeeze VGA on such tiny display) but other than that, it has interesting specifications:
