Live streaming application from Qik now available for HTC Touch Diamond and more September 05, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. Qik is a very annoying company: they offer live streaming from mobile phones, but one cannot download their application from their website whie browsing it with a PC - instead they are harvesting mobile phone numbers of users. The concept of "download" page is unknown to them. They are simply user-hostile. It's almost as if they are doing life more difficult for users on purpose... so if you want to save yourself annoyance we recommend: do not use this company or their service at all! Previously available only on few Windows Mobile phones, mainly without touch-screen, now it is available for: AT&T Tilt, HTC Touch Dual, HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Pro, HTC TyTN II, Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. We have no idea how they can claim support for yet-unreleased phone like Xperia X1, but it is good to see that Windows Mobile phones with touch-screen, notably HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro that both have very high-quality camera, are supported. See also: jackie from Qik writing about support for more Windows Mobile phones.
