Published: reports from global launch event of Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 in London, EU

Since the Swedish-Japanese joint-venture Sony Ericsson is located in London, EU, no wonder that global launch of HTC-manufactured Sony Ericsosn Xperia X1 phone took place (this week) in good old England!
On location, at that event, the British Windows Mobile fanboys Paul O`Brien (from Modaco, likes footy) and Stuart Lock (from CoolSmartphone.com) were present. On top of that also Matt (husband of Tracy who lately brought a child to world) was present. In other words there are some interesting first-hands reports from that event that you might be interested in seeing, if only HTC Touch HD leakage has not put you off from that fancy Xperia X1:
Commentary: the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 was supposed to be the best Windows Mobile phone on the market, but with HTC Touch HD it all changed and X1 with 3.2 megapixel camera looks not so good compared to HD that offers 5 megapixels. Finally, in our opinion, the X1 is only a temporary stage at Sony Ericsson and it is made by HTC, and we think that ultimatively Sony Ericsson is heading in the direction of Google Android because nothing else would anger more their main competitor - Nokia (number one in cellphones globally) from Finland (formerly an underdeveloped province of Sweden where Ericsson is located). In other words: Windows Mobile fans should not expect too much from Sony Ericsson.
Of course all participants of that event will get review units for free soon, so watch their websites for more info about this nice phone!
