New Internet Explorer for Windows Mobile 6.x sighted September 26, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Unimpressive! More details: Apparently some Windows Mobile phones with latest ROM of version 6.1 have new Internet Explorer on board already, however we have doubts whether it is indeed the promised version that should have desktop-class rendering, Flash support, Silverlight support. The fact is that sighted version has "Mobile" and "Desktop" modes, so it may be the new browser, but it looks like Microsoft does not pay no attention to detail or style because it looks ugly. Apart from that tabs are missing and it is unclear how compatible this browser really is. It looks like Windows Mobile manufacturers cannot count for Microsoft after all and must stick to Opera Mobile 9.5 ...
