At last: Microsoft integrates Windows Mobile in big-budget Windows advertising! October 26, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. In latest advertising campaigns of Microsoft - mostly focused on Windows Vista, at last also Windows Mobile is featured prominently! At last Microsoft understands importance of synergy effects.
(on image above: snapshot from video advertisement of Windows where Windows Mobile is also featured; note that Natalie says "Hey Sofia" to Nigel in Live Messenger for Windows Mobile so there are some mistakes in representation of Windows Mobile in these advertisements; see also remark about YouTube below!) Even latest issue of Wired paper magazine features advertisement of Windows that encompasses Windows Mobile! Furthermore: ... Microsoft has launched special websites for their campaigns, available here: Windows vs Walls and Possbilities. Unfortunately Windows Mobile is not featured in other contemporary Microsoft advertising campaigns: "I'm a PC", "Gates and Seinfeld". It is however absolutely good development that Microsoft recognizes importance of synergistic advertising by mentioning "Windows Vista on your PC, Windows Mobile on your phone and Windows Live online". Interestingly Microsoft mentions in these advertisements "with Windows Mobile ... you can check out latest videos on YouTube" what is not quite correct because Windows Mobile still does not support Flash - the promised new Internet Explorer for Windows Mobile with Flash support still has not been released by Microsoft - it is delayed because it was promised to come "in 6 months" in February 2008.
