Bankruptcy of Windows Mobile ecosystem continues November 05, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. First Pocket PC Magazine, then Pocket PC Thoughts and now Coolsmartphone all getting in on the iPhone action, this is not looking good for Windows Mobile... Leigh Gears (a Windows Mobile MVP) from Coolsmartphone writes: Have you recently defected to the iPhone? Are you interested in everything Apple? If so, give me a shout. A new site is about to launch and writers / editors are needed to promote and expand the new venture. Jason Dunn (a Windows Mobile MVP) from Pocket PC Thoughts writes: I'm thrilled to announce the launch of the fifth Thoughts Media site: Apple Thoughts. [...] The iPhone? Game-changing. Not the right phone everyone, and definitely over-hyped, but it changed the whole landscape of smartphones and what people expect from them. The Apple tide is rising, and as someone who makes a living online, it would be a poor decision for me to ignore that fact. Commentary: while it is not affecting Microsoft employees, certainly it is just getting started and it will get much worse when many handset manufacturers will launch Google Android phones next year... Note: we at msmobiles.com are not going to open any iPhone-related site and we stay focused on Windows Mobile. We are even working on new, massive, section 'Encyclopedia of Microsoft mobility" that is launching on January 1st, 2009.
