Sling Media preparing new version of Sling Player for Windows Mobile November 09, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. Similarly like TomTom and other turn-by-turn GPS navigation software, Sling Player is not available for iPhone, but you can get it at for Windows Mobile! With Sling you can stream over local network or over Internet television to your PC or Windows Mobile phone. Interestingly you can also switch channels remotely and quality is adapting to bandwidth dynamically. So whether you want to watch TV with your Windows Mobile phone in the backyard of your house, or maybe from abroad, you can do it! Sling Media is preparing to launch a new version of the Sling Player for Pocket PC software. This software will support devices with square displays like the Palm Treo Pro, Samsung Epix, HP's 320 * 320 device. This version will also have better support for the new Slingbox Pro-HD. There is also a completely new version of the Sling Player with an overhauled UI reflecting the contemporary Windows Mobile 6.1 style UI's which is in the works. Credit: Slinger.
