Alleged Windows Mobile 6.5 screenshots are just a fake!
November 16, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R.

And here is the proof:

Previously we have been reporting about Windows Mobile 6.5 screenshots but apparently they must be fake! Why? If you take a look at picture above you can see that in the screenshots an icon from Apple Mac OS X was used. There are also other, less obvious, indications that these screenshots were fake.

Note: formerly Microsoft wanted to release Windows Mobile 7 as successor to Windows Mobile 6.1 but lately it has transpired, that Microsoft plans more versions: Windows Mobile 6.1.4 (coming February 2009, with new Internet Explorer), Windows Mobile 6.5 (coming summer 2009, with Zune service integration) and Windows Mobile 7 (coming 2010, with multi-touch and central application store). Obviously Microsoft can do high-class user interface as example of Xbox gaming console shows, but still Microsoft is far away from releasing something compelling, notably multi-touch feature that is an incredibly important competitive advantage of Apple.
