Microsoft launched its Connected Services Accelerator Program in June 2008. The program encompasses a series of global projects that seek to incubate, and ultimately commercialize, new types of consumer, business and mobile services supported by Windows Mobile smartphones and Windows Vista-enabled mobile broadband PCs. Commentary: people are tired of marketing pep talk from Microsoft and expect deeds: new Internet Explorer, good media experience (Zune for Windows Mobile?), central app store and multi-touch. While previously it were just empty complaints, now disgruntled Windows Mobile users are switching to competing platforms in droves.
