Rumor: Microsoft enters hardware market and releases their own phone with NVIDIA chips November 24, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. Great, after many times ensuring its hardware manufacturing partners, that it will not enter hardware market when it comes to mobile phones, Microsoft will announce in 3 months their own phone! Read on! The phone is slated to be announced at 3GSM this coming February, so if you plan on attending, please look surprised when MS unveils it. Commentary: apart from the fact that "3GSM" name is no longer used - currently this conference is called "Mobile World Congress", it may well be that Microsoft got tired of waiting for their partners to come out with serious iPhone competitor, but on the other hand such move can upset many hardware manufacturers, that will immediately dump Windows Mobile and go for Google Android...
