At last: Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM Upgrade for i-mate Ultimate series released December 09, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. It looks like i-mate still is alive and kicking - despite rumors about bankruptcy... however users have some problems with freshly released Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade for i-mate phones: i-mate finally released their long awaited Windows Mobile 6.1 for Ultimate Series devices. I downloaded the setup file and got very many errors while trying to install it on my device using Vista. I kept retrying to download the file using XP and the download kept getting interrupted. After a few tries Imate blocked my account downloads for the next 24 hours. I will be waiting the long wait to try it out. They claim that with this new version you will be able to use a bluetooth mouse and many other great updates. We'll see! The Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade is available for the following devices: Supported i-mate mobiles
