Dual SIM Windows Mobile phone Glofiish DX900 goes on sale December 19, 2008 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Many people use 2 SIM cards for various reasons: one is for cheap/free phone calls and the other one is for cheap/free mobile Internet, or one is for corporate phone number and other one is for private calls, etc. Particularly in Europe nowadays SIM cards with ultra-cheap international phone calls are popular but they don't offer the best deal for national calls (no voice flat rates). So clearly there is a need for phones that support 2 SIM cards at once, and there are many such phones on the market!
However by now whenever you wanted to get dual SIM cellphone you had to buy no-name phone or a big-brand phone but with limited features. Not anymore! Now a sophisticated Windows Mobile phone with 3G, WiFi and GPS and (!) with dual SIM capability is available for purchase: When it comes to availability: this phone just went on sale in Russia (for 760 US dollars = 505 British pounds = 531 Euro), but we presume that it means that it will be available soon also in a bit more western parts of Europe. Regarding availability in USA: we don't think that it will be available through major retailers as in USA there are only 2 operators that support SIM cards (compared to 4-5 physical ones per country in Europe plus many more virtual ones). Some highlights about this phone:
