Microsoft hints at Zune services announcement at CES 2009 next week January 02, 2009 [General] | By Edward J. R. ![]() (on photo above: Robbie Bach, the boss of whole devices division, including Xbox and Windows Mobile - talking during Microsoft press conference at Mobile World Congress 2008) Surely several Microsoft honchos have denied that Microsoft will be doing Zune phone (in hardware), but today Microsoft has released information that makes the announcement of Zune services for Windows Mobile (probably) more likely: Steve Ballmer, chief executive officer of Microsoft, and Robbie Bach, president of the Entertainment & Devices Division, will deliver the pre-show 2009 International CES keynote address at 6:30 p.m. PST Wednesday, Jan. 7, in the Palazzo Ballroom at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. In other words: Robbie Bach will be speaking at the keynote what indicates some major announcements in Windows Mobile area too! ... and not just Windows 7 -related stuff. Note: it is possible that Robbie Bach will call on a stage at CES 2009 Roz Ho from Microsoft, who seems to be responsible for Zune services secret project (project pink, 500 employees working in it presumably).
