Mobile World Congress 2009: first photos of Microsoft stand February 15, 2009 [General] | By Edward J. R. Here it is, "Windows phone" distincty visible and "Windows Mobile" nowhere in sight:
... and here is a photo of the whole Microsoft stand (yet under construction today):
Source of this photo: Andrew Grill. Clearly Microsoft will be showing several "start..." (like "start" button in Windows) tables, with "start socializing", "start revealing", "start exploring", "start tagging", etc. It looks like green branding for Windows Mobile is gone, it looks like "Windows Mobile" as such is gone too, and it looks like "Windows phone" is new buzzword and color for the branding of this phone is: orange (combined with light blue). Note: Microsoft will announce several new things tomorrow at press conference 3pm local time (Central European Time - strangely Spain is using this time zone despite being located west of UK), and most likely all the new things will be presented at the Microsoft stand on Tuesday, not tomorrow. Note 2: if you own, or are pondering to create, a website about phones powered by Microsoft software, it is probably good idea to register now all possible Internet domains with "windowsphone" in name! Tomorrow, after official announcements it may be too late.
