Review of HP iPAQ Voice Messenger published March 14, 2009 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Here comes yet another Windows Mobile Standard phone without touch screen. It features GPS and a camera with autofocus so it might be interesting for some: HP Voice Messenger is a great small form factor candy bar phone with a solid operating system and snappy processor. The keyboard is rather good but will have a short learning curve to get used to the two keys per physical key situation, once mastered no complaints on text entry. Only negatives that I can come up with are the rather annoying touch sensitive D-Pad and soft keys which were a bit unresponsive at times and finally my usual complaint, no 3.5mm headset jack. HP have made a solid Smartphone and a lovely form factor. To learn more, visit review of HP iPAQ Voice Messenger. Commentary: while phones with touch screens are very fashionable nowadays, some people still prefer classic touch -less phones, and HP here presents a solid mobile. Lack of QWERTY keyboard may be off-putting though... HP is making some nice Tablet PC and desktop computers with multi-touch already now, so we hope that HP will also pioneer Windows Mobile phones with multi-touch one day...
