New version of Google Maps for Windows Mobile fixes several issues April 13, 2009 [General] | By Edward J. R. Our favorite new feature: updating location for Google Latitude in background! Certainly iPhone can't do it... Anyway if you are one of those people who don't mind being stalked and would like to broadcast your current geographical location to everybody then new version is for you! Also if you broadcast your location updates only to your selected friends you will find it useful: Among other improvements are such things as restarting automatic location updates after switching the phone off and on, forcing manual location update, improved operation when backlight goes off, improved cell ID detection, uploading photos for given location also in *.png format.
