(Not so) secret plan of Google to destroy Windows Mobile June 27, 2009 [General] | By Edward J. R. We are amazed that government of USA is not doing anything against it: Google and Apple form cartel to fight Microsoft. Furthermore CEO of Google is on board of directors of Apple and Google and Apple are agreeing on various strategies (example: Apple told Google not to put multitouch into Android so HTC had to hack it into HTC Hero). Now it looks like Google is entering another stage by offering their advertising solution (from which 99% of Google's revenue comes from) but only to iPhone and Android, not for Windows Mobile: AdSense for Mobile Applications allows developers to earn revenue by displaying text and image ads in their iPhone and Android applications. For our beta launch, we've created a site where developers can learn more about the AdSense for Mobile Applications program, see answers to frequently asked questions and sign up to participate in our beta. Advertisers can also learn about the benefits of advertising in mobile applications. To learn more, visit original source of this story about mobile Google advertisements (written by a sister of wife of Google's co-founder!). Commentary: we don't like such discriminatory practices and there are many millions of Windows Mobile devices out there so this step is effectively hindering development of ad-supported freeware for Windows Mobile. Clearly Google has become too much powerful and is de facto monopoly in some areas. It looks like Windows Mobile developers are getting yet another reason to abandon Windows Mobile...
