O2 stopped sales of Toshiba TG01 Windows Mobile phone due to virus !
July 15, 2009 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R.
Virus has been detected in units that were on sale, what has stopped sales!
More details: O2 Germany has detected virus that is located in some memory cards that are delivered in package of Toshiba TG01. Because of this virus Toshiba TG01 is no longer being sold and customers are being notified by O2 and are getting replacement units. This virus has infected only devices sold in July 2009 and devices sold previously (sales of Toshiba TG01 started at O2 Germany in June) are not affected. It is expected that sales will resume soon.
Note: it is the first time ever when virus software is encountered in a Windows Mobile phone that is commercially sold. Previously the only virus programs in Windows Mobile were those written just for testing by some anti-virus software companies.
