Commentary: apart from the future considerations, it is reasonable to assume that Microsoft will standardize on multitouch features across all platforms of Microsoft with pre-installed multitouch support: Microsoft Surface (OS for tables), Windows 7 (OS for desktops, notebooks, netbooks and tablets) and Windows Mobile (OS for mobile phones).
