Not only SPV (Canary), but also Tanager (allegedly) breaches Sendo patent
June 18, 2003 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1.

Hugh Brogan, boss of British phone manufacturer Sendo, says that Microsoft is continuing to infringe its patent in Tanager, Redmondīs latest smartphone reference design.
"We have seen Tanager and yes, we believe that is also infringing,"

Make no mistake: Nokiaīs vassal - Sendo - is using creative suing, as a way to destroy MS Smartphone platform. Just for the record: Sendo is buying at Nokia, at suspiciously good conditions not only Series 60 Symbian software, but also software for regular cell phones (not smartphones).
