Another proof that The Register is incompetent about Windows Mobile September 07, 2009 [General] | By Edward J. R. Fellow Windows Mobile fans share our opinion about that incredibly false rumor that leftist blog "The Register" (sorry Andrew Orlowski, but if it is online-only publication, and if it has comment posting feature, then it is a blog!) is spreading: ... that HTC Touch HD2 will be powered by Android. This is plain wrong because successor to HTC Touch HD is in the works and it has code name "HTC Leo", and it is powered by Windows Mobile, plus no Android phone from HTC will be called "HD2". Here is a real expert opinion about this incompetent rumor: There is a rather nefarious rumour going round that HTC has displaced Windows Mobile on its upcoming HTC Touch HD successor. The source of the rumour is The Register, quoting an unnamed source, probably a company rep more familiar with the coffee machine than HTC’s roadmaps. To learn more, visit related story about HTC Touch HD2. Commentary: if it looks like an Android, babbles like an Android, waddles like an Android, then it is an Android and not HD2 - a name reserved for Windows Mobile phone. Clearly HTC will be releasing more powerful Android phones but none of them will be called "HTC Touch HD2" so The Register once again has proven that it is not only biased against Microsoft but also totally incompetent in Windows Mobile area.
