HTC should learn from Samsung: old Omnia gets Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade! September 15, 2009 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Samsung looks more and more as a manufacturer that cares for customers more than HTC. Not only Samsung phones have usually very fast graphics drivers - an aspect very neglected by HTC, but now it looks like old HTC Touch Diamond will not get Windows Mobile 6.5 but old Samsung Omnia will get it, as Samsung has confirmed it in an email to a Dutch customer: In your email you ask the question if windows mobile 6.5 will be released for the omnia. We can comfirm that this is coming, however de exact release date isn't known yet, we therefore advice you to keep an eye on www.samsungmobile.com To learn more, visit original source of this story. Commentary: HTC has scored huge success with Windows Mobile phones and money earned from Windows Mobile, HTC is now investing in their Google Android -powered phones, what might be fine and dandy if they wouldn't neglect their Windows Mobile customers. In other words: if HTC will not offer official Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade to their a bit older, but still modern, phones like HTC Touch Diamond, in the eyes of many customers HTC will be lost for ever.
