TouchTwit for Windows phone - review October 16, 2009 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Here we are reviewing a client for Twitter that was designed for finger-friendly navigation. No need to use stylus with this one. After the initial launch you can add your Twitter accounts or create new ones:
In the first tab you can see all the messages from people that you Twitter-follow:
The next tab shows tweets that are directed to you in some way, i.e. such tweets that have @yourTwitterName in them:
The next tab shows private messages, i.e. so called "direct messages" that nobody can see on the Internet - only you and the sender can see them:
The "More" tab has several more screens:
... including the ability to search for tweets/users:
... and ability to change settings and exit the program:
Of course you can post tweets with all the goodies, including URL-shorteners, photo/video taking, geo-location, etc.:
Finally in the settings there is plenty of options that you can change to your liking:
Conclusion: TouchTwit is a very comfortable and well designed Twitter client for Windows phones aka Windows Mobile. Since Twitter is a casual service - you would like to check tweets quickly or quickly post some tweet, usually there is no time to pull stylus, so having ability to use your fingers is vital. While we usually recommend you to test various Twitter clients to find the one that suits you the best or that looks the best, we can say that TouchTwit is worth having - it looks nice and is finger-friendly. To get TouchTwit please search for "TouchTwit" in the Windows Marketplace for Mobile (aka Windows Mobile app store) inside of your Windows phone. To learn more, visit touchtwit.net or follow them on Twitter at @TouchTwitInfo. Finally: feel free to follow us at Twitter at @msmobiles - we promise to follow you back in return.
