HTC launches new branding and new ad campaign - to fool users into moving to Android phones October 26, 2009 [General] | By Edward J. R. HTC is not satisfied with brand recognition and has hired several advertising agencies to change their image and brand. As of now it is just new slogan "Quietly Brilliant" (instead of "HTC Innovation") but more changes are coming. The real reason of these changes, apart from the desire to increase brand recognition is simple: to convince Windows Mobile phone users to switch to HTC's Android phones. The rumor has it that in long term HTC is planning to sell more Android phones and Windows Mobile phones... HTC Corporation, a global smartphone designer, today unveiled a global advertising campaign that is based on HTC's new Quietly Brilliant brand positioning. As HTC's first global advertising campaign, the YOU campaign is being rolled out across 20 countries in the coming weeks and features the tagline, 'You don't need to get a phone. You need a phone that gets you.' This represents HTC's commitment to focus on people, their needs and how they work and live to ensure that HTC devices suit them.
