Windows Marketplace for Mobile - App Pick of the Day October 30, 2009 [General] | By Edward J. R.  Windows Marketplace for Mobile (aka Windows Mobile app store) is run directly by Microsoft and it contains apps that you can download directly from "Marketplace" app in your Windows phone. These apps are then automatically updated if new versions are available. Today we have picked this app: 
Description of this app: “Beware: insanely addictive game!”. Flight commander give you control of the air space where arriving planes need your help. Show them the right route to the right landing zones and avoid collisions. This game is easy but challenging as well! How many aircrafts can you land? - Insanely addictive - Beautiful graphics - 2 airports for different strategies - 2 additional game modes for even more gaming pleasure - Real life airport recordings To find it in app store, search for "commander". Commentary: this is a 2D game so it doesn't require much graphics power but it is cleverly done and for people who like flying (like we do!) this might be a treat. We are amazed that Microsoft allowed for such graphical representation of female characters - this must be stewardesses from some private airlines because we couldn't spot such staff on British Airlines...
