Second sincere review of HTC HD2 Windows Mobile phone - published November 21, 2009 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. In most reviews of HD2 phone from HTC, reviewers are not sincere, because they are simply sucking up to HTC or respective distributor - so it is refreshing to see objective and sincere reviews from time to time. The first since one was review of HTC HD2 that revealed the truth about the choice of apps and about general software situation and this new, very detailed review of HTC HD2 is exposing another issue in software of this brick sized cellphone: The problem with the HD2, and it isn’t a deal breaker, is that the device just doesn’t run smoothly. Having witnessed how well Windows Mobile 6.5 can run of the Acer s200 Neotouch I was shocked that the HD2 has a certain degree of lag to it from time to time. A lot of the time the device runs well and will please most however, when you notice just how bogged down it can get you will be asking questions. An example. Yesterday, in work I thought I’d check Twitter randomly. I picked up the device, hit the power button, slide the slider across to the right of the screen and waited. The slider stayed there. After 15 seconds or so I set it back down and the screen turned black. To learn more, visit detailed review of HTC HD2 Windows Mobile phone. Commentary: HTC HD2 is the new flagship of HTC so we are amazed that these issues have not been fixed yet. Since it is most likely software-only issue, the fix will be delivered for sure.
