CEO of Microsoft loves Apple now, and changes his mind about iPhone app store March 09, 2010 [General] | By Edward J. R. Previously Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, when asked what he thinks about making money off mobile applications, in context of huge monetary success of several developers in iPhone app store, has said "I don't think anybody is making any money" [in iPhone apps] and we have it on video to prove it: ... but this week Steve Ballmer obviously has changed his mind as he has just said: "Apple's done a very nice job that allows people to monetize and commercialize their intellectual property" To learn more, visit original source of this story about CEO of Microsoft and iPhone app store. Commentary: obviously previous claim of Steve Ballmer was an untruth (maybe not a lie, but clearly a false statement). Why is Steve Ballmer so kissy kissy about Apple all of a sudden? Well, Microsoft is carrying out now a huge international push of Bing search engine to defeat Google (example: huge TV commercials about Bing have been just purchased in UK by Microsoft) and Microsoft hopes to make Bing a default search engine in Safari browser for iPhone (and for iPad) because having merely Bing iPhone app is not enough for Microsoft (Microsoft has it already!). We are not sure if this - making Bing the default search in iPhone's Safari browser - will ever happen as Google could pull Google Maps from iPhone and that could be big problem for Apple, but it is worth mentioning that Apple fanboys who are anti-Microsoft are simply stupid because not only Apple and Microsoft have cooperation on many levels but also Steve Jobs and Bill Gates have secret agreement about long-term cooperation. Finally: CEO of Microsoft talking about monetization maybe finally will bring some changes to Windows Marketplace for Mobile that is pathetically bad still and has less than one thousand apps (compared to 150,000 apps in iPhone's app store and 30,000 apps in Android Market).
