Handango still having some difficulties with smartphone, adult content and Java...

We are not into some anti-Handango mood or something but it is hard not to notice, that Handango lately has some "problems" and attempts to boycott the Microsoft smartphone platform:

In Microsoft Smartphone section of Handango programs that are not code signed are not allowed (thus prohibiting many small developers from market success) - despite the fact, that several operators and vendors in the world sell now Microsoft smartphones without software-lock. Moreover Handango placed there, in the Smartphone software (!) section many RINGTONES - something that is not a software but just a compilation of stupid sounds! In this way the software market of MS smartphone is being boycotted by Handango. However Handango is not making the same "ringtone mistake" with Symbian phones though - there you can buy only software.
The Handango server software is powered by Java and sometimes, when you try to hit Handango´s main website a message appears, that the poor Java cannot handle the traffic:

As our pal Jørgen Sundgot from infoSync reports: As a result of a new and more family-friendly policy, online software retailer Handango has quietly removed all erotica-related software from its international offering. - so you will not find neither Strip Poker for Smartphone, nor Strip Blackjack for Smartphone - titles that are available however at Handango´s competition at Smartphone.net.
